All Hallow's Eve

Today may be All Saint's Day for those who are devout in their beliefs, however last night belonged to a gathering of a slightly different spiritual plane. My homage to the aforementioned aggregation of slightly less divine beings is presented here for the first time in the poem entitled, "All Hallow's Eve". Enjoy...
"Rise spook and rise spectre, rise goblin and ghoul
For the Dead this is no night to grieve
Rise those whom have passed while dread and fear looms
Tonight it is All Hallow's Eve

Tricks and creeps around every turn
Some will make your blood run cold
All boys and girls must someday learn
Tonight only fools will be bold

And summon the evil through blackest of holes
Which may possess and never leave
True terror breeds deep inside of our souls
Especially on All Hallow's Eve

So go door-to-door an collect all your treats
Tonight you can be anything
A princess, a cowboy, an athlete with cleats
A monster or a demon with wings

Enjoy the festivities and all frightful fare
But be mindful 'cause you'll soon believe
The Dead walk amongst us this time every year
Beware it is All Hallow's Eve"
