Welcome one and all!

Welcome to my new site dedicated solely to my dark/horror/supernatural themed prose. From time to time I will be adding new stories, poems, musings, etc. on all that is sinister and creepy. I do hope you will return for more...if you have the heart and/or stomach for it. To begin comes a stream of conscious, or unconscious, narrative entitled "Insomnia (excerpt)" which came to me in the wee hours of the morning when, if you let your mind and imagination roam, strange things may occur...

"Darkness has descended again. Alongside the specters and the shadows, the apparitions and the demons which are purely figments of the human psyche...or are they? Keepers of the secrets the world dare not divulge, flitting about with only the slightest to detect their presence. A creak in the hall as if a footstep, a rap at the window, a moan. Small gestures if any but just as unsettling as if they were on a scale far more grand. Not often, but at times, a voice whispers from another room, another realm. I can assure you only of the disturbance this causes deep in the blackest recesses of my very being, though there is an odd reassurance that comes with such a call. If invisible during the day time hours as I seem, then with these denizens of the night is indeed where I belong. I know them as they know me. A cold breath on the back of my neck is confirmation of such incorporeal relations. Somewhere in between a dream and awake does the prospect of my destiny lay...but oh, to find the key has proven to be the bane of my existence. The thorn in my soul's proverbial paw. With them is where I belong, however through the looking glass I dare not go.
Darkness has descended again."
